NEED TUTORS FOR AFTERNOON SESSIONS…AND MORNING SESSIONS!

CHURCH SCHOOL
It meets each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Please come and bring your children. There are classes for every age group!

BELL CHOIR FOR ADULTS AND CHIMES FOR YOUTH (AGES 8 – AND UP)

 Please bring your children and grandchildren.  Practice is being held on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. in the Bell Choir Room (formerly the Computer Lab) and will remain on this schedule until further notice.  The first performance will be on Sunday, June 15 (Father’s Day).  For more information, please contact Faye Fikes.

INTERIM PASTOR

The Hillside Session voted to approve the contract for our interim pastor that was presented by the Interim Pastor Nominating Committee (IPNC).  The nominee is Reverend Mary Rebecca "Becky" Burton, who is currently a member of the Presbytery of Sheppards and Lapsley in Alabama.  (She resides in the Atlanta area.) She will be examined by Presbytery on April 24 and received into the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta during the Presbytery meeting on May 1.  This is a required procedure when a pastor is moving from one Presbytery to another.  After Presbytery receives her, she will officially be our interim minister and her start date will be May 19

 
POWER IN THE PEWS (PIPP) – FREE HEALTHCARE FOR UNEMPLOYED AND/OR UNINSURED

This program provides treatment for high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, hypothyroidism, respiratory infections, eye/ear infections, asthma, arthritis, acid reflux, sinus infections, and more!

Service is available on Mondays, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (must be signed in no later than 6:30 p.m.), at The Oaks Business Park (5026 Snapfinger Woods Drive, Suite 110, Decatur GA 30035).  Please call 770.558.6361 with any questions you may have about this program.

HILLSIDE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Hillside has a scholarship/education fund which has helped some of our college students in the past. To access this fund, students will need to have at least a 2.3 (out of 4.0) grade point average, complete a scholarship/education fund application, provide proof of receiving a high school diploma, and proof of acceptance in a college or job training certification program. Please make donations in the envelopes found in the pews and indicate “Education Fund”.
