During April, 176 families/ 580 individuals were served; 5,779 pounds of food were distributed. Food requests include: cereal, rice, pasta, macaroni & cheese, dried beans, instant potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, chili/stew but we will take anything you are kind enough to donate. Come and join us at the Marriott Courtyard-Downtown Decatur (formerly Holiday Inn) on June 2, 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thanks to all Hillsiders who have supported this event in previous years. It would be great to have some new supporters this year, as this will again be a very enjoyable event with outstanding speakers, entertainment, a delectable luncheon, a hat fashion show and parade, raffles and door prizes. HILLSIDE SCHOLARSHIP FUND |

Hillside has a scholarship/education fund which has helped some of our college students in the past. To access this fund, students will need to have at least a 2.3 (out of 4.0) grade point average, complete a scholarship/education fund application, provide proof of receiving a high school diploma, and proof of acceptance in a college or job training certification program. Please make donations in the envelopes found in the pews and indicate “Education Fund”. |

There will be a health fair at Hillside THIS Saturday, May 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The focus will be on Medicare & Medicaid, with discussions about covered and non-covered services, followed by a 30 minute Q&A. Nutrition, diet, exercise, blood pressure screening and health club memberships will also be included in the discussion topics. There will fun activities, like Spin the Wheel and/or Bingo.
